HPMC
Kemox Hydroxypropyl Methyl Cellulose (HPMC) is a white powder that dissolves into cold water in a clear or slightly turbid colloidal solution. It has the characteristics of thickening, dispersion, emulsification, film formation, suspension, adsorption, surface activity, moisture retention and protective colloid.
Kemox HPMC is used very often as a thickener in building applications. For instance In dry mix mortar, the thickening power is related to their solution viscosity. The addition of Kemox HPMC imparts excellent stickiness to wet mortar. That can significantly increase the adhesion of wet mortar to the base layer and improve the sag resistance of the mortar.
Kemox HPMC can effectively prevent too fast and low penetration of water into the base surface in cement-based products, allowing more water to stay in the mortar and participate in the cement hydration reaction. In gypsum-based and ash-calcium-based products, Kemox cellulose ethers also play an important role in ensuring their open time.
Kemox HPMC can significantly increase the thixotropic properties of the mortar system, which allows the mortar with excellent anti-sagging ability, especially when building on walls. The good sag resistance of the mortar means that there will be no slippage when the mortar is constructed with a considerable thickness; for the tile pasting project, it means that the tiles pasted to the wall will not be displaced due to gravity.

HEMC/MHEC
Kemox Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose (HEMC) can be used as a water retention agent in building materials. Compared with HPMC, HEMC shows excellent thermal stability and good water retention.
Kemox HEMC can effectively prevent too fast and low penetration of water into the base surface in cement-based products, allowing more water to stay in the mortar and participate in the cement hydration reaction. Compared with HPMC, HEMC shows excellent thermal stability and good water retention.
Kemox HEMC is widely used as an additive in construction chemicals which improved open time, lubrication, and resistance sagging for cement-based or gypsum-based dry mix mortars, thereby to practice easy workability.
Kemox HEMC is used very often as a thickener in construction applications as it prevents segregation and improves the cohesion of the formulation components. The addition of Kemox cellulose ether imparts excellent stickiness to wet mortar. That can significantly increase the adhesion of wet mortar to the base layer and improve the sag resistance of the mortar.

HEC
Kemox Hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) is a nonionic, water-soluble polymer that is easily dissovled in hot or cold water and can be used to prepare solutions with a wide range of viscosities. Main application for HEC is water base paints. Kemox HEC is an excellent thickener in water-based paint and coatings. The thickening efficiency is excellent. It helps to improve paint abrasion ability and excellent coating ability without flocculation.
Kemox HEC is favourable maintain the water at desired levels in the formulation. Kemox HEC can apply on a dry substrate or a super absorbent substrate, or under the conditions of high temperature and high wind speed even can keep high w ater retention, the water-based coating can form a uniform film without cracks and powder falling.
Kemox HEC provides resistance against fungi and bacterial attacks, which allows its excellent viscosity, stability, and long-term storage. Kemox HEC grades with B are specially for biological resistance.
Kemox HEC has wide compatibilities that can be matched with various additives for polymer emulsions and water-based coatings(such as dispersants, wetting agents, and film-forming additives), pigments, surfactants, emulsifiers, preservatives, and binders, etc.

RDP
Kemox Redispersible polymer powder (RDP) is usually used together with Kemox cellulose ether products to modify the property of building mortars. The powders can be quickly redispersed into water. When the RDP is emulsified and dispersed in water, it will form a polymer film after the water evaporates, This film has high bonding ability and unique properties, such as high flexibility, high heat resistance, and high adhesion to the various substrates.

HPS
HPS (short for hydroxypropyl starch ether) enables cement- and gypsum-based products with distinctive qualities. Similar to Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose(HPMC) in the chemical structure, it can not only provide functions similar to cellulose, but also have very good compatibility with other additives in building. starch ether has a very small amount used in mortar products, and a very low addition amount enables to achieve very good quality effects.
starch ether has many significant properties, including thickening in solution, good solubility in water and stability in suspensions or glue solutions, protecting colloids, film-forming behavior, water retention, bonding property, non-toxic, odorless, biocompatibility and thixotropy. In addition, starch ether also has a great variety of distinctive properties, like surface activity, foam stability and ionic activity. Due to these properties, starch ether is widely used in building materials, detergents, textile, papermaking, food, cosmetics, coatings and many other industries.
